Nicki Minaj is blowing up and her video for Your Love has hit the net.  The video features actor Michael Jai White, best known for his role as Spawn.  Your Love has hit number one on the Billboard rap charts making Minaj the first female rapper to accomplish this  without being accompanied by another act since Missy Elliott did it with Work It.  Your Love might sound familiar to a lot of people since it samples from the Annie Lennox hit No More I Love Yous.

Tara Reid deals with the police

Don’t mess with Tara Reid or she will point at you and hypnotize you with her crazy gaze.  The former cutie that stole out hears in the American Pie franchise was pulled over with a friend for running a red light in St.Tropez, France today.  The wild eyed blonde was so confused by the situation she tried to hand the cop a CD instead of a license when he approached her.  Since 2005 Reid is more known for her botched plastic surgery and wild behavior more than anything else, but unlike fellow disaster Lindsay Lohan she has been able to keep busy.  Between 2005 and 2008 she had 5 movies released straight to DVD and she currently has three more in post production.  You have to give her credit for staying employed.

Lorenzen Wright found dead

Lorenzen Wright, former NBA Lottery pick of the LA Clippers and 13 year NBA veteran, has been found dead in a field 15 miles south of downtown Memphis.  Wruight’s family had reported the him missing 10 days ago and suspected the worst since he was scheduled to visit his family.  Wright is a father of 6 children. Information has been released that a call to 911 from Wright’s cell phone 9 days ago was bet by an expletive and ten gunshots.   A call back to the phone was met with no answer.   Friends have said the Wright often used the desolate road along the field as a shortcut to get back to his mother’s house and now that shortcut has cut down the 34 year old.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Ellen DeGeneres off American Idol

The shake up for American Idol is in motion and the first piece to fall is Ellen DeGeneres.  The newest member of the judging panel announced that she has voted herself off the show on her Twitter account.  She released a statement on her her website that gave some more detail as to why she was leaving the suddenly shaky talent show.

A couple months ago, I let FOX and the “American Idol” producers know that this didn’t feel like the right fit for me. I told them I wouldn’t leave them in a bind and that I would hold off on doing anything until they were able to figure out where they wanted to take the panel next. It was a difficult decision to make, but my work schedule became more than I bargained for. I also realized this season that while I love discovering, supporting and nurturing young talent, it was hard for me to judge people and sometimes hurt their feelings. I loved the experience working on “Idol” and I am very grateful for the year I had. I am a huge fan of the show and will continue to be. [Ellen Show]

With this news coming today expect that on Monday we will find out who will be sitting on the panel next season. Will they go with four judges, three judges, will Kara be sent packing???

Eminem and Rihanna team up for Love the Way You Lie and Megan Fox stars in the video.  The video features Megan in an abusive yet heated relationship which probably has some sort of meaning for Rihanna and her abusive relationship with Chris Brown.  Of course I don’t think Rihanna and Chris would get into huge blow up fights, end up with tongues down each others throats, and a house burning down, but you never know what can be hidden these days.

Jimmy Johnson will be on Survivor

Former college and NFL coach and current TV commentator on Fox, Jimmy Johnson, will be a cast member on the CBS reality show Survivor:  Nicaragua.  According to reports out several Survivor fan sites this season will feature an under 30 tribe going up against and over 40 tribe which makes it tough to be a contestant if you are in your 30′s.  Johnson has been attempting to get onto the show for a few years and missed the cut in 2005.  The shooting schedule for the show only lasts 39 days so he will be back in time for his NFL duties.

Whale takes on sailboat

I know this isn’t celebrity gossip, but I think this might become the most famous whale in the world.  Paloma Werner and Ralph Mothes, who operate the Cape Town Sailing Academy, were enjoying a day of sailing through Table Bay when a Southern right whale breached the surface and landed on their boat.  Luckily no one was hurt in the incident, but the boat will have to go in for some repairs.  This species of whale is common to the area and was not attacking the boat – it just has been vision.

Pamela Anderson has lent her figure and voice to PETA for many years and her latest sexy ad is causing some problems.  Pamela arrived in Montreal to unveil her new PETA vegetarian promotional ad and was told thanks, but your ad has been banned for being sexist.  An official in Montreal gave this explanation as to why the ad was banned:

”It is not so much controversial, as it goes against all principles public organisations are fighting for in the everlasting battle between men and women.”

Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom wed

Australian power couple Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr have officially tied the knot after announcing their engagement just last month.  The marriage was confirmed on Australian media outlets and rumors are heating up that Kerr is expecting a child.  Congratulations to the happy couple.

Kendall Jenner too sexy?

Kendall Jenner is the 14 year old sister of Kim Kardashian and she is an aspiring model.  Kim was so proud of her baby sister she posted some if her recent modeling pictures on her site.  Kendall is a lovely looking young lady, but does anyone else feel these images are a bit too sexy for a 14 year old girl?  I understand that modeling stars at a young age, but at what point do parents step in and say you are crossing a line with what is tasteful and what is not?

Ashley Greene, star of the Twilight series, has been spotted working out religiously in Studio City, CA.  The sexy star has been known to hit the gym more than once a day and she is looking good.  As long as she is careful and maintains a healthy weight there is no reason to get overly concerned, but if she pulls a Nicole Richie and goes stick figure on us she won’t be able to pull off a well fed vampire.

Brett Favre Retires

For the third time, and maybe final, Brett Favre is reportedly retiring from football.  The Minnesota Vikings quarterback was once again wavering on coming back in a quest to avenge an NFC Championship loss to the New Orleans Saints, but it now appears that the Purple People Eaters will have to look elsewhere for a QB.  Last season Favre had on his his most impressive statistical season with  career bests in completion percentage (68.4), quarterback rating (107.2) and fewest interceptions (7), while throwing for 33 TDs and 4,202.  Those numbers, a great defense, and a talented offense made many think coming back was a formality especially after off season surgery to correct an ankle injury.  If this is indeed the final time we see grey beard I will miss him, because even though he causes drama every off season he is fun to watch on the field.  The former Green Bay Packer and New York Jet will go down as one of the greatest to every play the game.

Kelsey Grammer’s $30 million divorce

Kelsey Grammer might be paying a huge sum of money to settle his divorce with his third wife Camille Donatacci.  Grammer and Donatacci have been married since 1997 and have two children so the fact that six week after filing for divorce he is expecting a new baby with current 29 year old girlfriend Kayte Walsh can’t be making her happy.  Well I am sure reports that she will soon collect over $30 million are making her smile.  Since she is a half owner of Grammnet Productions, which controls a list of shows including Frasier, Medium, and Girlfriends.  Grammer is requesting no spousal support be provided and that all earning prior to their marriage not be included in any settlement.

Paris Hilton might not be as popular or relevant as she once was, but that hasn’t stopped her from getting people to notice her.  The bonde party call showed up in Hollywood for the launch of her tenth fragrance, Tease, looking more like a busty Marilyn Monroe than her usual stick figure self.  It is amazing what a good push-up bra and the right dress can do for a girl isn’t it?  Don’t worry I am sure she will be back to giving herself a bubbly champagne shower in no time.

Demi Moore is not one to shy away from technology and she has once again started a wave of searches by posting a picture of herself in a bikini on Twitter.  The iPhone mirror selfpic is usually reserved for drunk college girls in lingerie, but I guess it works for a 40 something married to Ashton Kutcher. The comment that went along with the picture on Twitter was:

Andy Whitman steps down from Spartacus

Andy Whitman, the star of Starz’ series Spartacus Blood and Sand, has announced that he will not be returning for the second season of the show due to a recurrence of cancer.

The 36 year old Australian has been informed by his doctors to immediately begin and aggressive treatment course in treating his non-Hodgkin lymphoma.  Due to that course of treatment it would not be possible for him to regain his strength and be able to endure the rigorous  and demanding filming schedule.  In a statement Whitman stated:

“It’s with a deep sense of disappointment that I must step aside from such an exceptional project as Spartacus and all the wonderful people involved. It seems that it is time for myself and my family to embark on another extraordinary journey.”

The producers of the show have announced that co-stars Lucy Lawless and John Hannah will film a six episode prequel in hopes that Whitfield can recover and return for the next season.

Capri Anderson was Charlie’s girl

The woman locked in the bathroom while Charlie Sheen destroyed a room at the Plaza in New York city this week has been identified as adult film star Capri Anderson.  The 22 year old star has also gone by the names Alexis Capri and Christina Walsh.  She was reportedly partying with Sheen and his entourage throughout the night before accompanying him back to his room at the Plaza.

Anderson who hid in Sheen’s bathroom while he went on a rumored cocaine fueled rampage called for help around 2AM.  Apparently the her fear of Charlie isn’t as serious as her feeling towards being labeled a hooker.  Her reps have come out stating that she is no way shape or form a paid working girl and that she was at the bar where Sheen was drinking.  The pair apparently hit if off and she felt a longing for the highest paid television actor in the world.  It really is a love at first sight story if you ask me.
